Where did Mobil Tech International come from? 

This question is often asked since the closure of Mobil Tech France and the emergence of other companies selling similar products. 

   In 1999 MOBIL TECH UK LIMITED was established as a company to exclusively distribute Mobil Tech France products in the United Kingdom only.  Previously, ESP (UK) Ltd. had been the distributor of Mobil Tech products in the UK but only as part of their overall business.  
Due to the success and popularity of the product range it was agreed between ESP (UK) Ltd. and Mobil-Tech France (MTF) that a new company should be established to market and distribute MT products in the UK, this company was named MOBIL TECH UK LIMITED.
Whilst taking the Mobil Tech name this was a completely separate company for ownership and accounting purposes.  This UK Company was still trading when MTF went bankrupt in the late summer of 2002. 

At this time a decision was made to continue the manufacture and distribution of a selection of Mobil Tech products from the UK and to make a new company – Mobil Tech International to reflect the new global customer base and also to further distinguish itself from the now defunct MTF.  Whilst this was a continuation of supply for the customer base, it was in effect the start of a brand new manufacturing company, and therefore Mobil Tech UK ceased trading at this time.

Therefore the only common link between the two companies is the name Mobil Tech and obviously the quality and high specification of products supplied.  Mobil Tech UK was a direct distributor of Mobil Tech France but Mobil Tech International is a completely separate company, neither employing any of the former MTF employees nor using any of its production facilities.
Whist basing our product range on the popular Mobil Tech models we have made it our aim to improve not only the high quality and performance of the product range but also customer communication and the all important delivery times.
Such improvements include the fact that we have now obtained the TUV BGV C1 certificates for the ALPTek 5500 and ALPTek6500 stands, as we make product security our number one priority.
